  1. Oh my gosh. I had no idea that the newspaper page she used was the obituary page. I have to say that I really didn’t understand her concept too much. She had this idea in her mind of what she wanted to make, but I couldn’t follow. She had ripped up all of these pieces of newspaper in the morning and left them laying on the table. The “janitor” (me) threw them away while the class was at music, not knowing that they were her Mother’s Day present. Tears ensued when she found out that her hard work was trashed and soaked with someone’s leftover apple sauce from snack. I quickly got whatever newspaper I could find from the guinea pig supply cabinet and tore up the pieces for her. I come back to her twenty minutes later and she asks, “Well, what do you think?” “Um… Put a heart in the middle?”

    • Oh my gosh, that is hysterical. Honestly, obituaries is the most “Evelyn” thing that could have been on there. You should have seen how excited she was to see a guillotine when we went to Paris.

I figured she just liked the star of David.

Evelyn was upset on Friday because Sara picked her up and she didn’t have her mother’s day stuff hidden.
