Domain names

I came across this awhile ago on snopes, but I forgot how funny it was until I stumbled upon it again.  Basically, it’s about domain names registered by companies who may not have realized what they were registering:

Italian branch of PowerGen          powergenitalia.com
who represents?                    whorepresents.com
Experts Exchange                        expertsexchange.com
Mole Station Native Nursery     molestationnursery.com
and of course
Pen Island
                              penisland.net

When Paul Anka moves, he slices like a fucking hammer

Okay, every time I watch Gilmore Girls (which is once a week religiously) and Lorelai references the fact that she named her dog Paul Anka, I think of this.

Paul Anka makes five main points in this pep-talk to his band:

1) He wants the band wearing shirts, not t-shirts.
2) Wearing t-shirts indicates to Mr. Anka that “a lot of loose shit is going on here.”
3) There is only one important person on the stage, and that person is Mr. Paul Anka. No one else is irreplaceable, including, as he says, “Jesus Christ.”
4) You fuckers will all be fired unless you straighten your loose shit out and get some “integrity” and “fucking character.” As Mr. Anka patiently explains: “Don’t make a fucking maniac out of me!”
and, most importantly:
5) “When I fucking move, I slice like a fucking hammer.”

And don’t miss the Paul Anka Haiku contest!

You just can’t make stuff like this up

How’s this for a football headline:

Johnson unhappy with how little he was utilized

Seriously.

The Treadmill

So we bought this treadmill…

My exercise bike is stuck in super high gear because it came faulty such that you can’t turn down the resistance. So Sara hates it and won’t work out on it. But she wanted to have *something* to work out with and neither of us would go to a gym or ::shudder:: go outside to workout, so a treadmill it is.

I was against the treadmill because everyone I ever met who owns exercise equipment just has it sitting in some back room and it’s never used. Now I’m fine with that, but if that’s the destiny of all exercise equipment, why not buy something that costs less than $1,000.

That being said, this treadmill is freaking sweet. It has all these programs you can do that adjusts the speed and incline as you go. I like that it forces you to do some workout program and you can’t slow down because you’ll come shooting off the back.

The treadmill shakes the whole apartment and sometimes things fall off of the TV shelf thing. I already apologized to the people below us, but they said they didn’t mind they just wondered what the hell that noise was. They said it was payback for their baby crying all the time, but we never hear their baby.

One bad thing is that it takes up the entire living room. I wish it had some sweet racing stripes or flames or something on the side. Then it would be like art.

Sara and I also bought running shoes. Now when does the fat start sloughing off?
