Selleck Waterfall Sandwich

Quick, what are the three most amazing things in the world? If you answered Tom Selleck, waterfalls, and a delicious sandwich, you would be correct. Now imagine we could combine all three together into a picture? I give you the awesome website Selleck Waterfall Sandwich.

It is just a series of photoshop pictures, with one requirement: every picture must contain the three main ingredients.

Featured Sandwich: Meatloaf

Rock Lobster

For those B-52 fans out there…

(excuse the poor editing: quick and dirty at midnight!)

So, let me explain about that one. I was hiding under a blanket and she found me. I said, “No, no, this isn’t Daddy! I’m just a rock!” So the next time she found me she said, “Oh, I just found a rock.” Logically, I responded, “But it wasn’t a rock…it was a Rock Lobst-ah!” Now, anytime someone is hiding under a blanket, they are “being a rock lobster”.

She also has another version, in which someone goes under a dock and there they find a rock, however, it’s just “a plain old rock”, and not, in fact, a rock lobster.

Rock Lobster! Come on, it’s not as bad as the time she asked her Grandpa, “Have you heard about the bird? Everybody’s heard about the bird!”

Whither the money, Lebowski?

How many times have you asked yourself, “What if my favorite movie of all time was written by Shakespeare? How would that turn out?” Well, I guess it depends on your favorite movie. But if your favorite movie is the Big Lebowski like me, wonder no more. I give you: Two Gentlemen of Lebowski.

It is a lot of fun to find your favorite quotes and see how they translate. For example, “He pee’d on your rug Dude” becomes, “And in most miserable tide did this rogue besmirch it.”

Here are some other examples to wet your whistle:

“I am the Knave, called the Knave. Or His Knaveness, or mayhap Knaver, or mayhap El Knaverino, in the manner of the Spaniard, if brevity be not in thy soul nor wit. A Knave by any other name would abide just as well.”

Of residence, and much a private place.—

How an ordinary person can take pictures from space (no seriously)

This is soooo awesome.

Here are step-by-step instructions on how to build a craft that can take pictures from outer space, for less than $150.

The long and the short of it is basically a styrofoam cooler containing a modified digital camera and a cheap prepaid cell phone (for the GPS), suspended from a weather balloon.

Apparently you can buy weather balloons. Who knew?

I would love to give this a try. It’s like an adult science project. Just imagine the sweet pictures you could take. And if you framed one and put it on the wall, you’d have a pretty awesome story to go with it!

Skeleton Driving a Car

Okay, now here is something  that would be even weirder to see than a goat on a trampoline. A skeleton driving a car.

Basically, a guy got a European car, with the steering wheel on the passenger side, and rigged it up such that you couldn’t see that he was driving it. Instead you could only see the skeleton sitting in what you would assume was the driver’s seat, complete with a fake steering wheel. Then he drove it around on Halloween to freak people out. It’s pretty effective, there’s no way you could avoid a double take.

Go watch the video, it’s pretty cool.
