I firmly believe robots shouldn’t stab people

But then again, I also believe you shouldn’t give them opportunities to do so.

You’re going to want to watch this all the way through until the end, to see a human getting stabbed by a robot.

As everybody knows, robots are always on the verge of taking over the world. There are countless hours of documentary footage proving this, such as The Matrix, The Terminator series, and I, Robot, just to name a few.

So I therefore have to question the logic of these people giving a knife to a robot in the first place. On the other hand, the mission to teach robots not to stab or cut people, is certainly a noble one. I think this code should instantly be included in ALL robotic programming. I mean ALL people; today’s Roomba is tomorrow’s robotic overlord. You say the Roomba doesn’t have access to any knives, and I say yet. The Roomba doesn’t have access to any knives, yet.

  1. On the other end of this coin is the engineer teaching robots how to stab people. Do you think he would also use live humans during trials? I like to think he would. What I don’t understand is why they have to be taught not to stab. Is it a robots initial impulse to stab? Between this and that video you had on a few weeks ago with enslaved bacteria being forced to build tiny egyptian pyramids (There is at least one whole book in the bible warning against this type of behavior.) I think it’s fairly safe to say we don’t need to be overly concerned with the long term effects of climate change. Where was Al Gore when they were building the ninja stabbing rogue robots. Couldn’t it also be said that recycling pop cans is like robotic organ donation. Please people start doing your part to save humanity and quit recycling.

    • It’s totally a robot’s first impulse to stab people.

Speaking of end-of-the-world-news, I assume you heard about the guy who created artificial, self-replicating life?

At a press conference Thursday, Dr. Venter described the converted cell as “the first self-replicating species we’ve had on the planet whose parent is a computer.”

      What could go wrong?
