Okay, this is a little odd. Our house is split on this one, I think it is super cool and Sara thinks it is super disgusting.
What you do is stab uncooked spaghetti through hotdog pieces and then boil the whole thing, cooking the hot dogs and spaghetti at the same time. I would certainly be willing to try it and I’m imagining that kids would like it. There is also some good discussion on that link as to what to call it (Squidlies was one suggestion, my favorite), so does anybody have any other suggestions?

I don’t think that I’ll be eating them anytime soon. But I don’t think they are disgusting and I can certainly see their appeal.

That just seems terribly clever! Though I’m not certain I’d want to eat it. Probably just because boiled hot dogs always kind of creep me out anyway. In my world, hot dogs must be grilled. Boiled hot dogs look so anemic and remind me what they might be made of.
PS – This has now sparked a discussion in our office of what else you might be able to stick spaghetti in and then boil.
