New Videos

I’ve added some new videos to MySpace.  Unfortunately, WordPress.com doesn’t allow you to embed MySpace videos, so you’ll have to click on the links.  Maybe someday I’ll upload them to youtube or something.

The first video is an older video showing some of Evie’s first steps.

The second video is a newer video of Evie after she had been walking for a while.  We got her some new shoes and they were a little stiffer than the shoes she had when she was learning to walk.  She did not like them!

The third video is brand spanking new video of Evie being a genius.  She has had an explosion of words lately.  It seems like she is learning a few new words every day.  We’ve lost track of how many words she knows now, but our rough guess is about 25.  Anything from “tree”, to “house”, to “key”, to her personal favorite words “fishy” and “cheese” (well, actually, she is still very fond of “no”).

I can’t wait to see what month 14 brings!

Teleportation Cat

This is a veeery sneaky cat.  And creepy!  It almost reminds me of The Ring or something.

Guess the Accent

Okay, this is a fun game courtesy MegDesk.  Basically you watch a video of people speaking English and then you have to guess which country you think they are from.  You need to have sound (obviously) and it takes a little while to complete because there are 16 of them.

I got 7 correct and a total of 29 points.  Like Meg, I will post a comment with spoilers, so don’t read that until you’ve taken the test!

Eye Jewelry

I have this eye thing.  I don’t like to touch them, I don’t like to see them touched, I don’t even really like to see a close up picture of them.  It just freaks me out and makes my eyes water.  Of course, knowing this, some people think it is quite hilarious to send me links and pictures of exactly that sort of thing.  So, recently I’ve received a couple of crazy links.  The thing is, I don’t doubt for a second that this is real.  People do way crazier things all the time!

The first is related to putting tiny diamonds in your contacts.  It actually looks kind of cool, if you forget about the fact that diamonds can cut anything, even eyeballs.

The second one is a little bit crazier.  I can hardly watch this video.  I don’t know why you would want to do this one though because it seems so much more annoying and it doesn’t even really look cool!

Is this really as cool as it looks?

From Urban Prankster, check out this video of a dorm “prank” by somebody in Poland.  Something this coordinated is obviously not just a prank.  If it was really just regular people flipping some light switches, then it is one of the awesomest things I have ever seen.  However, it seems a little too complicated and a little too perfect…if it is just something computer controlled then it is kind of lame.

There are a few more videos off of that Urban Prankster link, so if you liked that one, check them out.
