Dear Photograph

I came across a really cool website today, Dear Photograph. Basically, people take old photographs and overlay them onto the scene as it currently exists. (Note that all of the pictures are from tumblr and the links will therefore expire!)

It is interesting how some thing stay the same:

The captions of the people who submit the photos are surprisingly touching:

Just because of the nature of what they are doing, a lot of pictures and captions involved relationships between kids and parents, and nothing gets me verklempt faster.
