Congratulations!

I know I’m a little late in posting this…

Reid and Jamie gave birth to a baby girl, Lillian Ilene, on Sun July 16 at 8:47 p.m. She weighed in at 9 lbs 8 oz and was 201/2 inches long.

I can kind of see why people care about the weight, but why the height?

Improv Everywhere

You have to check out this comedy group.  Some of my favorite missions include Cell Phone Symphony, The Moebius, No Pants, Megastore, and Look Up More.

Sara got that job!  Also, my sister graduated from college on Saturday.  Congrats to both of them!

We went to NYC one last time over the weekend.  We saw the Wedding Singer (staring Stephen Lynch!) and Sweeny Todd.  They were both pretty good, Wedding Singer had a lot of good 80’s jokes and references and Sweeny Todd was very creepy and weird.  We tried to get tickets for the Tribeca Film Festival, but we didn’t get there in time.  We also ate a ton of good food, as usual.  I’m going to miss having that place so close!  I love New York, it would be really cool to live there.

Oh, for mother’s day I bought tickets to see Wicked in Chicago.  I’ve been trying to get my mom to see it forEVER!  She’s a huge Wizard of Oz fan (she even collects stuff from it) and I bought her Wicked the book last year for Christmas.  She could never get a trip planned to get out here to see it, so I got tickets when she’s already going to be in Chicago to help me move in.  I’m going to tell her next weekend on Mother’s Day.

The big news of the day is that I convinced Sara to let me buy tickets to a Packers game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I’ve never been to an honest-to-god pro game…I always end up going to pre-season games because they’re cheaper.  In particluar, I’ve never been to a game at Lambeau field.  The Packers play a pre-season game in Madison and also I’ve seen them here in Philly.  I’ve been to Lambeau before, but only before the season to watch a practice.  The game is Lions at Packers on December 17th.  I booked a hotel in Appleton for the night before, since the game starts at noon.  I bought 2 tickets, one for me and one for my dad for Christmas/birthday/other holidays to be named later.  It’s been my dream for a while to go with my dad to a game at Lambeau…even more so now that Favre decided to come back for another seaon.  This will be my last chance to see him play!  I even went all out and got 2 tickets to the official tailgating party at Brett Favre’s Steakhouse before the game.  All you can eat and drink for 3 hours before kickoff!

So the real question is, how am I going to keep a lid on a secret this big for months!  I could hardly keep from calling my dad minutes after I bought the tickets!

Happy 50th!

Happy 50th birthday to my mom today!  Man, that’s OLD! 😛

Okay, I haven’t been blogging much lately, mostly because I’m lazy.  Also I’ve been gone a lot.  I’m still waiting for all that free time that’s supposed to materialize now that I’ve graduated from school.

Okay, so what happened lately.  Vermont is a cold awful hell hole and I can’t believe that people actually live there.  But we did go to the Ben and Jerry’s factory, so there was that.  There was an evening of rum punch and also there’s a ski resort close by named Smuggler’s Notch.  How can that not sound dirty?

I started working on my resume and I’m going to start looking for jobs soon.  Maybe nothing will come of it, we’ll see.  There’s very little chance I could get a job as good as the one that I have, unfortunately.  Philly’s cool and all, but I want to be back in the midwest where all the action is! 😛

Okay, this is kind of random, but a group of guys that I used to work with started a big wheel biker gang.

I think that’s all there is.  I thought I was going to have a lot more to say when I sat down to write this, but maybe not.

quick post

First off, Happy Birthday to me!  (26 in case you were wondering)

Maybe I’ll make a bigger post later about our holiday driving extravaganza (2,200 miles driven in a week and a half).  Next weekend we’re going to drive up to VT and visit with Jen and Derek.  What’s better than vacation right after vacation? 🙂

Sara is still marveling that I got 18 books for christmas (although not every book I asked for).  I also got 6 cds which are all great.  (Latest Jack Johnson, latest Better than Ezra, Wicked soundtrack, Simon and Garfunkle’s greatest hits, Jet “Get Born” and the latest Gwen Stephani.  Yeah, Gwen Stephani.  Thank God few people read this)  It’s been so long since I got new music that I almost forgot what it was like.  We’re not allowed to bring burned cds in to work, so my collection was getting pretty stale.

This might be a little late since christmas is done and all, but I guess it’s never too late to pimp out a nutcracker.

P.S.  My mom gave me a graduation card when we were home!

Master of the Universe

FINALLY FINISHED MY MASTERS DEGREE!!!!!!

Wow.  What a relief.  This feels great!

I’m kind of disapointed though because I thought Sara might plan something to celebrate or something.  When she graduated from grad school I bought a gift and drove to North Carolina.  When she found out she passed her board exam I bought her flowers and a decorated a cake.  When I got home I was all excited and I was telling her about class and how glad I was to be done but she wasn’t paying attention because she was on the Internet and watching T.V.  She didn’t even wait for me to get home to eat dinner.  She just really doesn’t seem to care at all, but to me it seems like a pretty big milestone.  But who knows, Monday night isn’t the best day to celebrate, maybe this weekend we can do something.

I’m just a little conflicted because I’m glad to be done but disapointed that nobody seems to care.
