Hello all,
I think I’m done revamping things for the millionth time…at least for now! Hopefully you all like the new look.
Now I can truly say the look of the blog is as unique as the content. I know this for sure, since the header image was based on a picture of us taken by my brother-in-law, and the background is based on a picture taken by us (I don’t remember who actually took the picture, but it was either me or Sara). So instead of looking like 250,000 other people, I look like me and only me. This is something that has been bothering me for a long, long time.
I tried a lot of things to get a feel for what I liked, and I think it turned out really nice. I think it is interesting without being distracting.
Thanks to all of you who voted on the final images on Facebook!

Although I didn’t have time to vote, and I love Chiluly’s art, I really preferred this background. The glass was just too glaring.

It looks nice!
But it’s a little wide. I don’t usually browse full-screen, and the side-scrolling feels a little awkward.

Ha, it’s funny you mention that…because this one isn’t as wide as my previous, and I was a little annoyed at that! (However, my previous one might have scaled better) I tried to find the widest one I could that had the features I wanted.
I was digging the last theme because it was so wide and it was really nice for pictures!
So sorry about the side scrolling. I usually browse full screen, so I didn’t even really think about that.

Now I’m trying to figure out how the old one fit. Maybe the righthand sidebar wasn’t as wide? Hmm.
But you should take my comments with a grain of salt, since I haven’t updated my blog theme in years. Heck, I’ve barely even posted lately!

The sidebar is definitely wider now. Of course, if the sidebar is the only thing you can’t see, there’s not much use in side-scrolling.

I like it.
It’s lucky homeland security wasn’t around when you were on the tracks. Was the camera on timer or someone else do it?

My brother-in-law took the picture. Those train tracks aren’t really used except by a little train that just does trips for fun, so it was highly unlikely anybody was going to be coming. I’m not sure that train even goes down that far, where we were.
